Ashley Plum
Executive Director

As a breast cancer survivor and former wig client, I bring my experience, compassion, empathy, and passion to Check for a Lump. Striving for a positive mindset each and every day helps me bring my best to our breast cancer community in Arizona and beyond. As a fellow survivor, I can be the light for other women (and men) who are going through breast cancer with support and encouragement, so they know they are not alone. Not only am I a survivor, but I am a mom to one amazing daughter who gives her time to help others, wife & co-survivor to my husband who had thyroid cancer, daughter to amazing parents who instilled the giving and compassionate drive I have, and pet mom to multiple, snuggley, four-legged animals.

Bringing our community together to support each other is vital. The great work that we do at Check for a Lump could not be possible without the support of our friends, family, sponsors, donors, and all of our amazing supporters. I'm grateful and excited to work for such an amazing organization and with a great group of women! We truly are making a difference!

Having survived breast cancer myself, I absolutely love that I can give back and serve others. I am excited to direct women to the four distinct programs offered through Check for a Lump. Our programs are reaching women at all different phases of life, and we have so many resources available. It’s wonderful to be a part of that.

Nikki Zuba
Outreach Coordinator

I am Nikki Zuba, the Outreach Coordinator for Check for a Lump. My job is to help and support women on their journey by providing guidance and useful resources for their well-being. It is truly rewarding for me to see how education, free mammograms, and wig assistance can make a big difference in boosting self-confidence and empowering women.

In addition to my role at Check for a Lump, I am a proud mother of two amazing children who also have a strong desire to help others. My husband also works in the non-profit sector and shares our commitment to making a positive impact in the community. We firmly believe that by working together and taking collective action, we can inspire and uplift individuals and communities.
