MORE THAN A DISEASE: OLDER WOMEN AND BREAST CANCER TREATMENT

SHARE Cancer Support , through a collaboration with Pfizer Oncology, conducted a survey to understand how women experience a breast cancer diagnosis. SHARE wanted to identify how women view treatment decision making, where support was needed and given, and how women view the respondent-provider relationship. Importantly, SHARE wanted to understand how different factors, such as age at diagnosis, impacted how women experienced breast cancer treatment. Survey results suggest that women with breast cancer can have different experiences during their treatment journey depending on their age at diagnosis and other factors. This infographic highlights some key findings based on respondents' age at diagnosis.
